About me
After graduating with a degree in Japanese Language, my aim was to become an ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor in Japan. Yet, life happens and instead, my part-time manual labor job had become a full-time job! Not long after, I realized that it was time to exercise my mind again and give my body a break. So, I decided to pursue a career in a field that had largely intimidated me but piqued my interest: programming. Fast-forward to another degree later, and I had discovered newfound fulfillment in full-stack development!
My bread and butter is .Net (backend), React with Typescript (frontend), with relational databases (SQL Server). I have experience deploying to Azure and AWS services with CI/CD plugged in the flow. I've also created systems with Neon (postgres), noSQL databases (firestore and Azure CosmosDB), and vector databases (PineconeDB).
When I'm not on active projects, I enjoy learning about and tinkering with new libraries/technologies to see what exciting features I can integrate into projects. I'm also big on retro-gaming and am fascinated by all aspects of game development--Blender for 3D modeling and Unity for real-time development, just to name a few.
